We Must Re-value our People: Re Government Advisor Pay Rise

The disgraceful €35,000 pay rise given to Fine Gael Government Adviser Ciaran Conlon has prompted me to conduct a a survey of how we value our employees or even our people in this country. For instance if Ciaran Conlon is valued at €127,000 per annum for the post of Government Adviser then doesn't that mean that a Paediatric Nurse should be valued at €1,270,000 per annum? Or perhaps to save the country a fortune we could reverse that and value our Paediatric Nurse at €127,000 per annum and pay Mr Conlon €12,700? I'm going to post this Blog on Twitter and I want all Tweeters to  Tweet a  Profession or job to compare with Mr Conlon's job. And I want you to value that job using Mr Conlon's remuneration as a landmark amount to compare professions.

I think Mr Conlon should come clean in public and in the media to explain what this very important job consists of. Does he actively seek and find tens of thousands of jobs in Ireland? Is it that he can type fast that he's so valuable? Maybe he's good at IT? Can he make a cup of tea? Now I don't want to be unfair to Mr Conlon so I'll pose those questions to a Paediatric Nurse. Maybe we should ask Mr Conlon can he find the vein of a 2 hour old baby to set up a saline drip? Can he control life saving machinery of a gravely ill 5 year old girl? Well those and other things such as making the tea for all the little ones in the Paediatric Ward I feel is a more important job, a more important contribution to society, than Mr Conlon can ever achieve. If Mr Bruton feels he doesn't know enough about his job then he shouldn't have went up for election until he educated himself.

Now here's how I would like all you tweeters to respond to my survey. Think about a few professions to compare with Mr Conlon's. Not many people will know that there are a squad of very brave people who's job it is to keep the sewers of Dublin in working order. I leave it to your own imagination as to what these people have to do down the sewers all day preventing blockages and dealing with your human waste before going home to their families in the evening.

But there are many more important and valuable contributions to society than Government Advisers. Firemen and women. Ambulance personnel, Gardai, army personnel in the Lebanon, waste disposal officers (bin men), hospital porters etc, etc etc. But I'll leave it to tweeters to choose a job and value it in comparison to a Government Adviser at €127,000. We really do need to stop valuing a Barrister at €2 million and a hero in the army at a few thousand.

I'll Vote Yes for 2012 Referendum if I get the Following:

There's going to be a referendum in Ireland in March or April to decide if we are going to hand over the rest of our powers to govern this country to the European Union. I will be voting No against anything to do withe the EU despite the fact that I have in the past been a Euro enthusiast. But if I get the following I will vote Yes:

1. A 100% increase in disability benefits and allowances in Ireland.
2. A 50% increase in funding to the HSE.
3. A 25% increase in Education Funding with a further 25% towards children with a disability in Education.
4. A Wealth Register which anyone having earnings or assetts above €250,000 would have to sign in the first six months of 2012. The register would be published and open to inspection by the general public. It is important that the Irish people get knowledge of the identity of the 30,762 millionaires divulged by Fintan O'Toole on Vincent Browne's Tonight programme on TV3 last year.
5. A 50% reduction in legal costs and fees in Ireland, particularly fees for Barristers.
6. A Wealth Tax with the emphasis on tax diverted from the poor and middle income people to those earning more than €100,000. The theory that these rich people will leave Ireland if they are asked to pay their way is fine by me. The cream of Ireland have already been leaving in their hundreds of thousands. As long as they drop their cash and their passport in a wheelbarrow before they board the plane Bye Bye. By the way the cream of Ireland is led by for example Paediatric Nurses. They are also much more skilled, knowledgeable, and valuable to this country than any over paid and over valued Fine Gael Government advisor.
7. Anyone with an income of less than €22,500 would be exempt from income tax.
8. Ireland should have total and exclusive fishing rights returned to the control of the Irish Government and the EU should give a €2 billion grant to Ireland to build an Irish Naval fisheries protection fleet.
9. All Agriculture restrictions must be lifted by the EU on Irish Farming and exclusive governance of agriculture be returned to Ireland from the EU.
10. Ireland should apply to the United Kingdom to return to the sterling area and leave the Euro in a planned and orderly fashion if the above demands are not forthcoming from the European Union Authorities.

An Open Letter to Alan Shatter TD

Alan, I posted a Blog on Blogger.com on 30 May 2011 but no-one has told you about it. I heard within the last few weeks that your Department are now processing 6,000 convicted persons through the prison system in Ireland. The majority of these people are guilty of poverty crimes such as no TV Licence, no car tax, inability to pay fines and other petty crimes. My blog on the 30 May  was in response to a crisis. Now the crisis is so serious that your department is allowing sentenced prisoners to spend four and a half hours in prison after sentencing. This make a mockery of the courts, the Judges & magistrates and the sentences proffered. I called for a general Amnesty in May because the Penal System had shown then that it was collapsing. It has now collapsed. You Mr Shatter are in charge of a failed Justice System. Please use the period of Christmas Day to New Years Day to give an Amnesty to All Non Violent Prisoners in Ireland. Cut spending on Prisons by 80% overnight in 2012.

Support the Property Tax

I do strongly believe in a  property tax. And €100 a year is far too little to pay. I think the property tax should start at €1000 a week for all property valued at over €2 million. Some of this tax should be diverted to children with disability. A special tax should also be introduced for anyone with income or assetts of over €0.5 million.

RTE TV Licence

I'm looking for a TD to ask RTE Telivision/ Radio in the Dail how much they spend on advertising on the most stupid media exercise on the globe. The TV Licence. RTE are insulting the population of Ireland by the advertisement/s they currently have on a half hourly basis on all thier outlets. I suspect they spend twelve times more on the stupid, insulting advertisments than they ever expect to take in from the destitute suicidal population of Ireland. If I had a choice, buy a tin of baby food for my two month old baby or pay to watch the most anti poor broadcaster on earth, Radio Telifis Eirraenn. Well I will take the humane route and take my two month old baby to Mountjoy Gaol in Dublin because I cannot afford to pay the TV Licence.

Be Patriotic. Shop in the North.

Got a lot of stick on Twitter today for defending the poor, disabled, the old, blind, trolley ridden and unemployed. I am of the opinion that being a millionaire is morally wrong in Ireland today. And it should be considered a serious criminal offence. @scullybones on twitter profoundly disagrees. The other thing is Pat Kenny feels it is un-patriotic to shop in the foreign North. Well I think that it is un-patriotic to contribute to the starvation of your four children under five years old. In Dundalk. Particularly if one of your children is disabled and just escaped being abused by Brendan Howlin's chainsaw on DA for kids.

Somalia: Any Billionaire Volunteers?

I'm going to continue with the theme of the grossness of billionairism. The United Nations announced today that they only need $670m to bring their budget up to the required amount to deal with the crisis in Somalia. Every second a little child is dying of starvation and thirst. That took five seconds to say. Five dead children. Most under two years old. Could someone in Ireland offer up a billionaire? I know if you have one going into your local golf club, you will probably want to be protective of him. You know what I mean, a nod and a wink. An Irish nod and a wink. You know like in Haughey's GUBU days. You know what I mean. You are probably so proud that you were in the same building as a billionaire that you were telling all your friends, describing his two cars outside. His chauffeur. His security man. And I'm sure he showed everyone appreciation with a free drink and a backhander to the local police to keep the Club open for a couple of hours after time. Remember that short sentence that killed five babies a few minutes ago? How many tens of thousands more has a billionaire sentenced since then?

If you know a billionaire, give him up. We only need $670m off him. He'll have plenty left for his chauffeur driven cars, his holiday villas outside Ireland. He can even claim taxes back on every dead baby he saves!! Rupert Murdoch might even publish a nice story about him. He Saved the African People!!

On a more serious theme. The United Nations also announced that it's official. There's a famine in Somalia. It took them TEN MILLION NINE HUNDRED THOUSAND REFUGEES to enter Kenya and other countries bordering Somalia before the Famine was announced. And the deaths of ten thousand babies. My point in adding this particular blog is the distraction of the charitable organisations in the blurb of pleas for help. Nothing has changed since the last time. Drought, crop failures, refugees, mass exodus.

Drought is caused by lack of water. Lack of water is caused by lack of rain. Technology has solved this problem in Saudi Arabia, full of Billionaires, Kuwait, full of billionaires, and Iran full of Radiated Billionaires. Somalia and Kenya lie on the Indian Ocean. Desalination plants to turn sea water into fresh drinking water are all over the middle east. In rich oil countries. The present Famine in Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia is as much the fault of Charities as it is of Governments. To prevent drought you need water, to prevent Famine you need to prevent Drought. To prevent starvation you need to produce food. To produce food you need to provide water. It's a vicious circle. Billionaires have all the answers. If we could find one, besides Rupert Murdoch. (and James). The Indian Ocean is very big. One hundred Desalination plants would stop all famine in Somalia, Ethiopia and Kenya forever. But they are not oil producing countries.

I think Somalia should do what the Irish are doing. We in Ireland have a rumour out there, that there is €470 billion worth of oil under our Shell oil discovery on the West Coast of County Mayo. It's already been confirmed that there is €300 billion of Shell Gas there and Ireland will profit by €300m. Good arithmetic's. Anyhow anyone who can offer up a billionaire it would be appreciated. On the Island of Ireland. Name them and I won't shame them. I'll just pass the name onto Revenue and the Somalian Children's Graveyard Association. Come on Irish people!! Admit how many billionaires you know. Start a Register of Billionaires: Ireland.Com. This is a Public Announcement. Billlionaires Needed. Your favourite billionaire.ie A baby a minute saved.

Why I'm picking on Billionaires

Some people on Twitter feel I've been unfair to billionaires by calling them Child Abusers. Well I'll explain my theory for everyone to peruse on blogger.com. Rupert Murdoch has put a bid of €11 billion euros on the purchase of BSkyB. To an average person in the UK or Ireland €110 for a babysitter would be expensive. That average person might be earning €1000 a week. So for the care of their precious children €110 a week is just loose change. To Rupert M and Son James £9.5 billion is loose change to play with the worlds media. To rule, to corrupt, to abuse everyone and anyone they choose. To influence governments, if not intimidate them. To hold powers over whole countries. To claim they have decided elections.

So if the Murdoch's are worth say €600 billion how can they be connected with child abuse? I won't even use the fact that News of the World abused Milly Dowler after her death. And probably Sarah Payne. And many other child victims of abduction, rape and murder. It will be revealed within some months that it may become even more gross than this. If it is possible for anything to be more gross than abusing a dead child. That may sound as though I'm picking on the worst abuses of billionaires from the last few weeks. But Ireland are reputed to have many multi billionaires, many billionaires, many multi millionaires, thousands of millionaires and hundreds of thousands of half millionaires. Lots of them on the run like child abuser priests. You see every child deprived of a class assistant in school because they have a disability has been abused by a billionaire. Because there should not be a billionaire on the Island of Ireland while a child with a disability exists on the Island of Ireland who cannot access all medical treatment, social services, Education and leisure activities free of charge. Billionaires are therfore (albeit indirectly in some cases) child abusers.

We do need to look at the fact that probably one of the biggest groups of multi billionaires are churches. The Pope heads the Roman Catholic church, a multi billion euro organisation who's pastime involves daily child abuse on a massive scale. And massive cover-up of it's activities on a global scale. Much of it emanating from Ireland. The Roman Catholic Church has so many billions or trillions that it has managed to set up it's own country called the Vatican. It has it's own army legalised and recognised by the entire world. Ambassadors who are appointed to every corner of the earth to encourage child sex abuse, protect it's member Cardinals and Bishops and demand Catholics in all countries throughout the world obey the Vatican's laws before their own countries laws. A gross form of international corruption. The Church of England is headed by another multi Billionaire, The Queen of England. The only person in the UK who is above British Law (check it out).
Tell you what I'm prepared to do. If Rupert Murdoch sets an example for all trillionaires, billionaires and millionaires and gives his €11 billion for BSkyB to children's charities I'll count him out of being a Child Abuser.

Something just as serious we should all remember. The security of any small country like Ireland is seriously compromised by the existence of multi billionaires like the Murdoch's. If as is rumoured The Murdoch's are in danger of arrest by the FBI and other police agencies throughout the world then they may have to use their Billions to find sanctuary in a small vulnerable country. Ireland?

The young rich man approached Jesus and ask how he could  contribute and maybe sponsor Our Lord's activities in promoting Christianity. Jesus replied, "Give your riches to the poor and follow me". John Magee, Cardinal Brady, Pope Benedict should follow me on Twitter or Blogger. I know a few things about children and poverty.

Michelle Mulherin wants National Service. I agree

Fine Gael TD Michelle Mulherin from Mayo wants National Service. I think she wants it for unemployed people. Talking to Pat Kenny on RTE this morning she seemed to relate unemployment to Social Welfare Abuse. I have a novel way of introducing National Service although it will not please Michelle. My National Service would call up about 10,000 people a year for basic army, naval or or air core training. I don't think the Defence Forces  could cope with any more. My plan would also create 10,000 good jobs. Because all those I would call up would be wealthy people. You wouldn't get in to my army unless you had income of over €200,000 a year. My plan would be to make National Service compulsory. Mulherin claims she would have it voluntary. My NS would be conducted as in Australia by a national draw for those aged 17 - 22. But I would not be recruiting kids like that. I would set the age group at about Michelle's age. According to Fintan O'Toole there are 30,000 millionaires in Ireland so there's plenty of army fodder out there. These recruits would take a years unpaid leave and do standard army training. An unemployed person would replace these people for training or employment. Civil Servants would of course be included in this national lottery for recruits. Hundreds of millions would be saved for taxpayers as the new recruits would only be paid the standard army rate instead of €200,000 to €1m a year. Those who would replace the wealthy would not be paid the same wages as top civil servants and Judges etcetera. As they would be coming off the dole they would be paid a basic wage of €50k a year which they would jump at enthusiastically.

The benefits to the new rich recruits would be massive. They would learn what the ordinary man in the street has to live with. They would learn how to have discipline and respect for others. As well as Defence Force training they would train as voluntary workers delivering meals on wheels, scraping snow off the streets etc. The final two weeks of his/her training would be spent in a prison to show these rich people how Ireland treat people who cant pay their TV licence, or pay off a debt or maybe are caught with a baldy tyre or even have a mental health problem. So Michelle I do hope you qualify for National Service. I'm sure it will make a better person out of you.

My Nomination for President of Ireland

If I had a say in the nomination for President of Ireland I would nominate a man. My man would have a wife and six children, be unemployed and perhaps have a disability, such as depression. He would live in a council house (obviously) with little or no facilities in his estate. At least one of his children would be educationally or otherwise disadvantaged. My nomination would have been a hard worker, a pillar of his community, a good father and husband. My choice for the Aras now represents 450,000 adults in Ireland who are unemployed. Also thier wives, thier children and perhaps thier mums and dads or grand parents and grand children. So my nomination for President statistically already represents two million people in Ireland four months before the election. So he has the election won.

Now to get my man nominated I need to get the consent of four County Councils, or twenty TD's or Senators. But my nominee doesn't know anyone who earns €100,000 or above a year. And all those County Councillours and TD's and Senators don't want to know my man. When my man has an emergency he sometimes would go to St. Vincent De Paul. But expenses for the Presidential elections are not counted as an emergency by St Vincent De Paul.

Barak Obama told us of a different way to become the representative of a country. The American dream. Not any one can become  the President of Ireland. Anyone can become the President of America. Only the wealthy or the representatives of the wealthy will become the President of Ireland. I hope Mary Robinson and Mary McAleese will bring this fact to the attention of the Irish people before the Presidential election in October 2011.

Amnesty for all non violent prisoners

Will Alan Shatter spend another five years doing nothing with the Justice system? There is a quick fix solution to our jails problems. Amnesty for all non violent prisoners. EG those in prison for debts, not paying fines, no TV licence, minor traffic offences, mental health problems etc, etc. Any prisoner who has been involved in some kind of violence could apply for amnesty if they are in the final year of sentence. If it is agreed to release a prisoner with a history of violence and they are returned to prison they must serve their original sentence as well as the new one. Concurrent sentencing for crimes of violence must be abolished. The result of these policies would result in emptying the jails and at the same time making the streets safer from violent criminals. Basically violent criminals who persist in their criminal acts would inevitably stay in prison for life. Judge Michael Reilly, Inspector of Prisons could clear the government next year when he goes back again. And the Irish Government will save hundreds of millions in legal actions by prisoners. Some prisoner in Holland I think was awarded €300,000 yesterday for getting ants in his pants in a prison uniform. Get this amnesty going by the end of June Mr Shatter or you are in big trouble.

Will Obama clean up Ireland's greatest terror?

Now that Barack Obama has cleansed Pakistan of the world's greatest terrorist will he please concentrate on Ireland's greatest terror-the Banks!! It will be more difficult to take out the banks in Ireland than it was Bin Laden. Because you can't come in at the dead of night. Irish banks never work at night. In fact many in Ireland would say they never worked at all. The banks are very devious. You can't take them out after dark but also there are two bank holidays a week so it's hard to pin them down. They are never there at weekends and they only attend their hideouts for five and a half hours a day. Barack will not be able to send in Drones because like Colonel Gadaffi their headquarters and premises are usually placed in highly populated areas beside schools, hospitals and churches etc. They use the poor and sick as human sheilds. They are also extremely wealthy institutions and pay their top brass $7-10 million per year. They got that money from the Irish government who took it from elderly blind women and handicapped children and their carers.

So Barack beware when you arrive in Dublin. Sew up your pockets and lock your brief case. Don't carry cash and keep you credit cards in your pocket. These bankers are dangerous and waiting to pounce!

Time to Leave the European Union

The European Union is fast becoming an abject failure. And Ireland must prepare for withdrawal immediately. It will take up to five years to process the escape as we will have to disengage financially and legally. We will also have to create new trade partners throughout the world. Perhaps we will have a good start by having countries like Spain, Italy, Finland, Portugal, Austria and Greece following us out of the Big Club. The European Community was an excellent idea in 1972. This is not 1972 and we are not in a nine state economic unit. We are in a twenty seven state monstrosity of dishevelled nations with a two state dictatorship of Germany and France. With Britain calling the shots even though they are 30% partners.

In 1972 China was an impoverished Communist State who wouldn't have had dealings with Ireland or the EC for ideological reasons. In 2011 if Ireland were willing to trade with China we could do without the other 26 EU states. Our new trade partners should be China, India, Pakistan and the USA as well as Norway and other states on the periphery of Europe. Russia, Turkey etc. The world has changed economically, socially and technologically since the 1972 Treaty.

Ireland has in the last ten years suffered drastically because of our EU membership. We have had one of our greatest economic assets, our vast expanse of seas around our Island state destroyed. Our fishing industry has simply been stolen from us as a nation and handed to Spain's factory fishing industry. Our agricultural industry has been decimated by EU regulations and basically handed over to the Polish. Ireland's main produce if it were on it's own is agriculture. But our farmers are being paid NOT to produce! Our government is banned from subsidising agriculture and industry by EU regulations. Replacing all this potential entrepreneurship with multi billion pound gambling casinos of hedge funds and stock exchanges trading or gambling on the misery of other country's financial woes. Ireland has the potential to feed its own people, to house its own people, to heat it's populations homes. It already has one of the highest export records within Europe and if outside the EU could develop real export industries such as food. Ninety per cent of our land is not utilised and lies barren.

Ireland has the potential to become one of the largest exporters of food in the world per capita. Take the example of Spain and it's factory fishing. Ireland should start a monolithic factory farming industry with one thousand agricultural factories involved in the production of potatoes, chilled and frozen foods, canned foods. Cattle, poultry, sheep, and every crop possible can be grown in our little country. We must take back our fishing industry by imposing a twenty mile fishing zone around this island, except where we share the zone with the UK. We could build a fishing fleet that would again provide tens of thousands of jobs on and off shore. But our government are restrained by EU regulations from subsidising such initiatives. Yet we have a potential customer base of about 4.5 billion people around the world who are well disposed to Ireland. The EC was created to promote trade with our partners in Europe in 1972. Now it is suppressing our trade by silly rules inside and outside Europe. This country could create hundreds of thousands of jobs for it's people. Just by utilising the potential it already has as a country. The EU is stifling this potential whilst at the same giving a "bailout" at 7% and raking in billions from an artificial economy created by the European Central Bank.

It's time for a new club Europe. Join with Ireland and lets go see our true friends round the world. In the east, the west, the south, the north. Greece, Portugal, Italy. Iceland you stood up to them so come join Ireland and create the potential for our countries to find a place and stand alone on this earth. Our peoples have the potential if we can cast away the shackles of Europe.

Last chance for Irish electorate to save themselves.

Six hundred thousand Irish people are either unemployed or have emigrated to Australia, Canada, the USA, New Zealand, or the UK. If we estimate that each of those individuals are part of a family of at least three adults then there are at a very minium 1.8 million voters suffering horribly as a result of the Fianna Fail government's policies. If we add to that the attacks on the blind, the sick, the disabled, the handicapped and disabled children, pensioners and the homeless there are well over 2 million voters directly damaged by this outgoing government. Wouldn't you think that with a total population of only 3.8 million then it would be impossible for Ireland to elect the same again? Another right wing capitalist regime who's first priority will be to protect the rich. But on Monday 28th February Enda Kenny will lead Ireland for the next five years. His Fine Gael party is a right wing protectorate for banks, the wealthy, big farmers, industrialists, foreign bond holders etc. But the Irish people only have themselves to blame for what they are about to inflict on their own country over the next 72 hours. They have a choice of a left wing alliance of political representatives or a right wing alliance of Fine Gael and Fianna Fail. The Irish people will vote 55% right wing FG/FF and 20% right of centre Labour. And they are looking for change? Loose change is all they'll get. If the IMF feels like throwing a few cents to them!!

The Catholic Church in Ireland yesterday warned that there will be violence in the streets if the new government do not address the "bonus culture" and vast inequalites in Irish society. Even though Fine Gael has been chosen to run the country for the next five years that doesn't mean Cairo could not happen in Dublin in six months time. That's how long I think Enda's got to start taking a cut off the rich. I don't usually respect much the Roman church have to say. But they got it right this time. Six months till doomsday.

Are Irish Tax Payers Money Laundering for Al Qaeda?

I'm very surprised that niether Pat Kenny or any Irish media outlet have not questioned Brian Lenihan's assertion that no-one knows who bond holders are! Lenihan was dismissing Michael Lewis's book about the Irish banking crisis (Thursday 3rd Feb 11). So we could be money laundering for Al Quieda and if we don't know who the €85 billion bonds belong to how do we tax them? Of course I forgot, we don't tax anyone with over a million in this country.

Irish Election Prediction 2011

I predict that on 28th February 2011 the Irish General Election will produce the following results:

Fianna Fail 20 seats (2007/ 78 seats)
Fine Gael   61 seats (2007/ 51 seats)
Labour       33 seats (2007/ 20 seats)
Green Party  0 seats (2007/ 06 seats)
Sinn Fein    31 seats (2007/ 04 seats)
PD               0 seats (2007/ 02 seats)
IND           21 seats (2007/ 05 seats)

Can anyone tell me what the betting is on this?
